Thinking about going off your land line? Newsweek has a few interesting stats for you: In a recent report the Yankee Group, a research firm, reported that 4 percent of Americans say their wireless phone is their only phone, up from 3 percent last year....some 15 percent, or 6 million users, plan to "cut the cord" over the next five years.

Have you dropped your land line in favor of a pure cell phone existence? What's been your experience? Thoughts in the comments or to tips at lifehacker.com. — Wendy Boswell
