Bridge to Brews Sunday April 19th 2009Last year we changed the name of the Bridge to Bridge event to the Bridge to Bridge to Brews, moved the start and finish of the event to the Widmer Brewery, changed the 5k to an 8k, and took both distances over the Fremont Bridge. A very unique experience as this is the only event in town that you can run or walk over the bridge! Needless to say the event was an all around hit! This year, we are keeping things pretty much the same, except we trimmed the name down to the Bridge to Brews and giving you all TWO tasty beverages as part of your registration! Everyone will enjoy great food and live music after the event. All those over 21 will enjoy complimentary beer from Widmer and those under 21 will enjoy some nice locally brewed Root Beer. There will be some entertainment on the course and more water and Vitamin water on the course than ever before! Check it out on our brand spankin' new website |

Cinco De Mayo Sunday May 3rd 2009
If you don't know about Terrapin Events by now, you should know that although we love putting together a great race, we really are trying to make all of our events one big party where the folks stick around and drink some beer, eat some great food and listen to some live music while talking to old friends and meeting new ones. The Cinco De Mayo run and walk is the epitome of that.
It seems every year the party gets bigger and bigger and the folks stick around longer and longer after the event. That is mainly because there is great live mariachi music from Trio Amor Latino, tasty foodfrom Azteca restaurant, and complimentary beverages from Redhook Brewery!

Portland Drag Race Sunday June 14th 2009Really, this idea had been rattling around in my head for about five years now, and I am so excited we finally made it happen! I mean come on! THE PORTLAND DRAG RACE! Prior to the Gay Pride Parade! That is classic if I do say so myself! This event is great on many different levels! On the one hand, who doesn't want to feel like an Olympian with thousands of people cheering them on while they run the mile! On the other hand, Portland is a very open minded and fun loving city, so why not come out and support a great community by running this super fun event that ends with a great festival in downtown Portland. Dress in drag or some other crazy costume if you want to. Drink beer, eat great food and listen to great music at the Pride Festival after the event. In this event, you get the best of both worlds! Check it out on our new website. |
Mt. Tabor Doggie Challenge Saturday July 18th 2009
The Mt. Tabor Challenge is now in its 7th year although this is now the second year under the moniker "Mt. Tabor Doggie Challenge". All the great changes we made last year (Oregon Humane Society as the beneficiary, great dog-related sponsors, Widmer Brothers providing Drop Top, and much more) are still in place. There is also still the great picnic after the event, the live music, and an awesome 5k and 8k. The courses run through one of Portland's truly amazing parks! The event stays entirely on the shady, tree lined roads within the park and offers participants great views of the city, mountains and more in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Check it out on our website. |
Rock 'n Relay and 4 miler! Saturday September 19th 2009
The Rock 'n Relay. What do you think about when you say that? Music, running, walking, fun, beer, food and hanging out with friends all day. Right? Right! And that is exactly what you got these last two years. Running or walking with friends, tons of great up-and-coming local bands, great food and tasty beer. Now, in its third year, you are getting all that and so much more! The Rock n Relay is now part of Musicfest Northwest! If you and your friends enter into the relay, not only do you get a full days worth of fun running or walking in a great race, listening to great music, drinking beer and eating great food, you get a super discounted bracelet into 4 days of music that takes place all over Portland as part of MFNW! We changed the location to the most amazing park in Portland, Mt. Tabor, with its beautiful tree lined roads, beautiful views all around, and the natural music amphitheater that was once the Volcano's crater. Go to our website for more details. |
