When I first caught wind that Equity would be converting to a new computer system I was excited. I then took it upon myself to do my best at my job, learning WIZ (I was a new employee at this time) enough to be able to effectively operate it, but I was careful not to get too ingulfed in it. MRI was rolled out in our area Mid-September. The transition time was difficult. It was interesting to see how things went along before we even had a computer system to rely on. I continued to find myself looking something up in WIZ because the information was available vs pulling the file (as what would have been done prior to a computer system.) Initially it was difficult to accept a completely different system and to be able to recognize the new exciting things that MRI had that WIZ had not. It was easier to see what MRI was missing. Being that MRI is a web-based program it became frustrating that there wasn't instant gratification when you push a button, or use the big erraser to undo a mistake. The training was very helpful and the book has more information than imaginable. I enjoy MRI because although it may not be as user friendly as WIZ, it is still moving Equity forward and "keeping up with the times."
