Seth Godin's blog post reminds me of the Multi-family market we dominate. I say that not to be arrogant but we really do it better than anyone else.
Now I would not suggest for a minute that it's our superior product and or amenities but I will say it's all about the people. We just flat out have the best damn people in the city if not the state if not the country if not the world! We stole our mantra from Steve Jobs and a we absolutely intend to put a Dent in the Universe every single day of the week!!!
Now back to the point of Seth's post, cheaper is not better. We consistently beat our comps by $100 plus on the margin for apartments homes and amenities that couldn't be told apart in a "sight enhanced" taste test. All things being equal we just WOW them with the people, service and overall experience!
Hat's off Seth for speaking the truth to your fan/client, I contend it will make her an evangelist if she will be bold enough to embrace it.
