This story in the LA Times: is a perfect example of what we are facing today in the marketing world.

Excerpt: Nathaniel Johnson, a 17-year-old senior at Claremont High School who took part in the survey, spoke for the 62% of boys in his age group who like to multi-task. He's a big fan of what the computer allows him to do: "You can open five or six programs simultaneously: work on a project, type a report, watch YouTube, check e-mail and watch a movie."

If you think they hear us; you might be wrong. It is quickly become a battle for attention and the message better be remarkable. I was once told that brevity and clarity rule the day! Brevity and Clarity do rule the day as you have on the time it takes to blink your eye to catch this demographics attention.
